Helen and Emma get baptised

Here are some great photos of the baptisms we held for Helen and Emma in March. They capture that special moment where they both are immersed from head to toe in water as an outward sign of an inward grace in their lives: the infilling of the Holy Spirit who we receive when we confess Jesus Christ as Lord of our life and believe in our hearts that he was raised from the dead (Romans 10:9). Both wanted to demonstrate their commitment to following Jesus as Lord and experience the rite of passage that Jesus encouraged all Christians to follow. And in this, to experience the commitment that God makes to us, in Christ, to become ‘new creations’, reborn and renewed to become everything he wants us to be. A truly joyous evening with wonderful worship from Brian and Reuben, prophecies from the whole church, and Helen’s family there in support!
